Claiming the Templar NFT

PreviousEndorsing a CandidateNextBecoming a Candidate

Last updated 2 years ago

In order to vote as an impact stakeholder, or to stand as a candidate, one must hold a templar NFT. This NFT represents on-chain a temple discord id, as well as the team hierarchy role held by that discord user.

Note: gas is not required to claim the Templar NFT.

How to Claim a Templar NFT

  1. Anywhere in the TempleDAO Discord server, type /gov claim {address}

    a. where {address} = your wallet address, then hit hit enter

    b. Wait for the NFT to be minted on Gnosis Chain

Syncing your NFT with your Discord

If your Discord role changes (for example, if you became an Acolyte, Guardian, Disciple, Initiate, etc.), you will want to sync your NFT with your Discord so that the front-end site reflects your appropriate role. To ensure Discord roles accurately reflect the social layer of the team, only Initiates+ can run this command. If your Discord role recently changed, ask an Initiate to sync it on-chain so you can get your full voting power.

  1. Type /gov sync and hit enter

To view if your NFT and discord are in sync

  1. Type /gov sync {who}

    a. Where {who} = your discord ID

Seeing your NFT via Discord

  1. Type /gov scry to see your NFT on Discord and your current Elder candidacy status.

  2. Add the {who} parameter to view another person’s Templar NFT metadata.
