What to do if you have an idea for a piece of work

Is it being worked on anywhere else?

If you have an idea for a piece of work, the first step includes seeing if anything related to your idea is currently being worked on. This could be done by reaching out to a Master or simply asking in #discolytes.

Is it valuable?

You should also assess where this new workstream should exist. If it relates to any existing chamber work, connect with the MC of that chamber to discuss your idea with them. It is also useful to get buy-in from the team and figure out if anyone would like to contribute to this new piece of work.

If it is a new upper chamber, discuss in #discolytes or #initiates-masters to see if you can get buy-in from other people.

Where does it go?

If it is related to an existing upper chamber, it should exist as a lower chamber (thread) on that upper channel.

If it is a new project, it should be a new upper chamber in Temple Products category (if its large and cross-enclave) or in an enclave itself (if its enclave focused). Note it’s very rare that we create new upper chambers.

Make sure you understand chamber operations

When you’re ready to create your chamber, ensure you have a good understanding of How to contribute to each stage and What needs to be done for each stage? so that you know what is expected.

Conjure your chamber
